Gin Festival Success

At Sweeney Hall we recently held our inaugural Gin Festival, and what a festival it was!

The 2 day festival took place over 28th/ 29th August 2016, celebrating the final bank holiday and a glorious summer weekend with over 1000 guests attending over the 2 days.

In preparation for the event, the team were busy putting up marquees, planning entertainment, and also some bar building courtesy of Sean, who made the tasting, outside and marquee bars, but it was all worth it.

The guests were treated not only to a wide array of gins (amongst other tipples!), but also to musical entertainment, as well as a Hog roast by Range events amongst other treats prepared by the Sweeney Hall chefs.

24 gins were presented over the 2 days, with music and entertainment from an array of performers including a spectacular firework display by Gekostar Fireworks on Sunday and an amazing performance by the original line up of Total Chaos to close the festival on Monday.

The whole event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of very many people, so a special thanks to the following Gin providers who attended our festival:

Warner Edwards
Brighton Gin
Merywen Gin
Pinkster
Brockmans
Silverback Gin
Copperhead Gin

We were also fortunate to showcase the following gins:

We were entertained by:
